Performative. Hygroscopic. Environmental. Reconstruction.

Our Masterplan proposal for an old Carteria (Paper Factory) in the centre of Italy. Exploring the hygroscopic properties of the paper, the fibres of the landscape absorbs water and transforms it in a neo productive landscape. An Arboretum appears as a centre piece of the industrial landscape. A timeless reference to the Hortus Conclusus, and the Orchard Cloisters . A sentimental relationship with the Reno river design the hydrophily landscape on the north reconnecting the river with the industrial heritage
